T. Kevin Thomas, M.D. FACS is a native Texan who moved to Wichita Falls at the age of 15. He married his high school sweetheart and has two sons, a grandson and three granddaughters. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School, was the outstanding graduate from the school of science and mathematics at Midwestern State University and honor graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Staying in Dallas he completed his general surgery residency at St Paul hospital. Dr Thomas started his practice in 1987 and in early 1990's pioneered the use of minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of many surgical diseases in the North Texas region. Dr Thomas is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His special areas of interest are minimally invasive and laparoscopic approach to hernias, gastrointestinal diseases, colon, solid organ and reflux disease. He also performs thoracic surgery and diagnosis and treats breast disease. He is actively involved in patient safety and quality improvement at the hospital level. |

Dr. May is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He and Dr. Thomas joined forces in 2007 to form North Texas Surgical Group in effort to bring cutting edge surgical techniques to the North Texas communities. Dr. May began the laparoscopic bariatric program in Wichita Falls in 2005 and has worked closely with Dr. Thomas to further develop laparoscopic colo-rectal and solid organ surgeries. His area of interests include minimally invasive techniques in bariatric and general surgery as well as patient safety and quality improvement. Dr. May grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class at U.T. Southwestern in Dallas and trained in general surgery at Scott & White Hospital/Texas A&M. He has completed additional training in advanced laparoscopy at U.T. Southwestern and Ohio State University. He and his wife, Jackie, have 2 sons and a daughter who keep him busy most of the time. |

Christopher W. Finnell, M.D. is the most recent addition to NTSG, joining the practice in 2008. He is married with two sons. Dr. Finnell grew up in Holliday, Texas. He is a honors graduate of Midwestern State University and the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Following residency, Dr. Finnell did a fellowship in laparoscopic gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Finnell is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has special interest in laparoscopic bariatric, hernia, colon, reflux surgery and trauma surgery. |
